I liked the article on how the use of private jets contributes to the warming of the planet. Many of the people who fly in these contraptions give lip service to wanting to help solve the problem. Can they really be that unaware of just how much worse they are making things?

Thanks for all your hard work this year. I still look back at the How to Move Beyond Recycling article from time to time and think it’s one of my favorite climate change articles I’ve read. As the title said, it’s good to know there are different, attainable ways to contribute.

Really appreciate your reporting - as a mom of young children, I have limited physical and mental bandwidth to identify and digest climate related information and you keep me plugged in! My favorite was the Exxon CA lawsuit article with summary information documenting Exxon's historical knowledge (informed by their own research) of fossil fuels' role in climate change. It gave helpful talking points to discussion with family members who have been unknowingly brainwashed by fossil fuels' PR machine.

You had so many great articles but I really loved the coverage on the Maui wildfires. You were one of the first publications to clarify that this ran deeper than just a disaster story and give voice to Native Hawaiians. I also really liked the article giving props to Al Gore. He may look conventional and stuffy but underneath it he seems to be a real climate warrior. It's important to recognize those.

I loved the article about the fossil fuel industry ads during the Super Bowl - very helpful background for family discussions!

I don’t want a hat but thank you for all of your investigative journalism! It’s gotten me to start calling methane gas for what it is!

My favorite article was "COP 28 SUCKS - PAY ATTENTION ANYWAY!" It's sooo important for us to understand what is REALLY going on! I liked it so well that I included it in the local monthly newsletter I do called Climate Conversations! (You received full credit!)

Keep up the great work!

I appreciated your tenacity, wit, and optimism in the face of looming, scientifically-proven, often ignored, hide-under-the-covers-fear that is climate change.

My favorite Heated article was about the oil and fossil fuel lobbyists flooding the COP meeting. It inspired me to post the article on linkin with the introduction "Like parasites responding to a host, the rapacious fossil fuel groupies flock to feed on what they hope is the carcass of COP28." Keep up the great work!!

I love Heated!! One of the most memorable articles of the year (hard to say favorite!) for me is the one with Pattiegonia. I loved learning about their mission and have loved seeing their activism on Instagram. Also, your posts about the Maui Wildfires encouraged me to donate to the causes you mentioned, I appreciate the activism you inspire.

Congratulations to HEATED on an amazing year! The reporting you are doing is invaluable, and I tell as many people as possible that they need to be reading and subscribing to support independent journalism focused on global warming and the climate crisis.

Looking back, it’s difficult to select just one post that was my favorite, but given everything HEATED’s been able to accomplish in 2023 I need to go back to January 5 and “Meet HEATED’s new reporter.” From what I can see, the addition of Arielle has had a massive impact on HEATED’s ability to dive deep into stories and to keep Emily from frying out, which is a HUGE deal, in my opinion. The quality and professionalism of your work – both of you – is outstanding and inspirational. It was that, rather than just one post, that inspired me to share as many of your stories as possible on my social media platforms and spread the word.

I love your caps, but whether I’m fortunate enough to get one or not, I want you to know how much I appreciate how you keep the feet of the corporations, politicians and governments to the fire. HEATED, indeed.

Thank you.

The 19 Sep 2023 article, "How Exxon tried to twist climate science for profit," really pissed me off. As reported, "The company undermined climate science to protect their bottom line from the 1970s to at least 2015—and specifically tried to twist the science of the IPCC. "Their two-pronged strategy to (1) protect the value of their oil, gas, and coal resources and (2) preserve Exxon’s business options, made my blood boil. They knew the dangers and truth about global warming from fossil fuels but what took prominence was to keep the money flowing.

Loved the article about the influencers who are spreading climate misinformation. The role these so-called influencers play in our society in general just (pardon my language) pisses me off. These people contribute nothing of substance to our culture and as Arielle's article showed, they can (and often do) act as a negative influence.

I saved the blog I received last January on methane. Words matter and the article reminded me that the term "natural gas" is just another example of greenwashing. I do presentations on climate solutions so this blog was important to me. And, I do not need a hat.
