Food waste is one area where personal action is important - nobody but us can stop household food waste.

For me, the game changing action on food waste was meal planning. Now that I know what I'm going to cook and when I'm going to cook it, I buy the right things and use them when I expect to. Sometimes I have to adjust plans, but that's better than having no plan. Doesn't work for everyone but it helps me.

You're absolutely right. - We, individually, are the only ones that can do something about household food waste. I hadn't thought about it that way. Meal planning is a great tip! The extra effort up front goes a long way in terms of both avoiding food waste and saving time and money. Thanks!

I love practical advice that we can all use! I try to not waste any food which is easy for someone who is single, but maybe not so much for a family of 4.

I’m more curious about addressing food waste by farms though. Leaving crops in the field? Seems crazy to me

Thanks Mike! I always hope that at least a tip or two resonates and drives action. But yes, I also want to know more about agriculture food waste. I will dig into that more in a future edition. Thanks for the feedback. :)
