All talk of the Kali Yuga aside, I gave my neighbors a couple Sweet Grass braids I made on Sunday. I also shared with them one of my Milkweed blossoms and the story about how they took three years to mature to this stage. I even believe I seen a Monarch Butterfly last week in the Milkweed but IT fluttered off before I could make a positive identification. I don't even know if they venture this far north east.
Their little boy going on eight showed me his new toolbox and his dad showed me his brand new Green Foot truck. His wife shared her new garden beds and quite frankly I got the feeling of African Lion Safari on the tour through their backyard. That to me is a miracle, that the ambiance of their creations, and the scent of Sweet Grass and Milkweed drew out into my consciousness those fond memories of the before time.
These three fine people are the only living souls I see most weekends other than my wife. IT was a small miracle there was no rain on Sunday having done so for all but ten days since the end of May.
I believe we can all experience miracles every single day. You just have to believe in them and they will appear.
Oh no! Even though I haven't been commenting much lately I have been attempting to read all your posts and somehow missed the GoFundMe request on this one. I'm so sorry I will look for another miracle to support. So glad she had such a lovely birthday.
Unsubscribed from a few doom thinkers. There is enough sadness in the world, that we have to blind the sun shining on our faces. Get your vit D from the sun folks get out into nature and leave the doom thinkers to the darkness they so like
Mickey what a sweet guy, from workout muscles and generous gestures always to reach the spirit, behind the eyes. Some folks are afraid to say, “how are you, really?” Others say, “oh that’s none of my business.” Nope. I always touch and say, “So. What’s going on?” ~~~ This week at the bookstore I chatted longer with people I’ve seen over months, only “Good morning,” and made deep connections over a stack of books, then tslking more about a family member whose wife recently died, having juggled a difficult marriage anyway. So special, to be real , to take time after a chance simple comment and now looking forward to next week when we meet again.
I wish I could give you a big hug, Mickey. So beautiful. So simple. So powerful. 🙏🫂💕
