Stop Breathing: You Are Polluting The Planet
Your Breathing Allowance Has Expired - Please Report Immediately To Your Nearest Reprocessing Facility
We know that current environmental ideology is profoundly misanthropic, so it was only a matter of time before the eco-fascists went from blaming human activity on global warming to pointing the finger of blame at basic human biological functions, in this case, breathing, which is both an involuntary human reflex and critical for maintaining life via the inhalation of oxygen and the expellation of waste product gases, chiefly carbon dioxide. Nevertheless, it is profoundly chilling to read the following peer reviewed research published in the journal Plos One on December 13th:
Exhaled human breath can contain small, elevated concentrations of methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O), both of which contribute to global warming. These emissions from humans are not well understood and are rarely quantified in global greenhouse gas inventories. This study investigated emissions of CH4 and N2O in human breath from 104 volunteers in the UK population, to better understand what drives these emissions and to quantify national-scale estimates. A total of 328 breath samples were collected, and age, sex, dietary preference, and smoking habits were recorded for every participant. The percentage of methane producers (MPs) identified in this study was 31%. The percentage of MPs was higher in older age groups with 25% of people under the age of 30 classified as MPs compared to 40% in the 30+ age group. Females (38%) were more likely to be MPs than males (25%), though overall concentrations emitted from both MP groups were similar. All participants were found to emit N2O in breath, though none of the factors investigated explained the differences in emissions. Dietary preference was not found to affect CH4 or N2O emissions from breath in this study. We estimate a total emission of 1.04 (0.86–1.40) Gg of CH4 and 0.069 (0.066–0.072) Gg of N2O in human breath annually in the UK, the equivalent of 53.9 (47.8–60.0) Gg of CO2. In terms of magnitude, these values are approximately 0.05% and 0.1% of the total emissions of CH4 and N2O reported in the UK national greenhouse gas inventories.
Yes, they have actually quantified the human breath emissions of methane and nitrous oxide and added them to the UK national GHG inventories, so you are now no longer a person, you are a number, contributing to global warming by the very fact that you are alive and breathing, as well as generating an undesirable ‘carbon footprint’ because you choose to indulge in the luxuries of travelling, consuming, working, playing and heating your home, rather than remain confined to your allocated habitation, travelling very rarely, buying and having delivered only your allocated rations of food and other goods, and heating and breathing only when absolutely necessary. The technocracy has number-crunched you and in the process of putting you through the meat grinder, reduced your basic humanity to a number.
It comes down to this: by being alive, you are a net polluter of the environment, therefore your life itself becomes a discretionary allowance awarded by the state, whose overriding responsibility is to ensure the health of the planet. According to the research above, the older you get, the more polluting you become, so there might come a point at which the state deems your discretionary life allowance to have expired. I warn you now, this is where this ‘research’ ultimately leads. The fact that it has been peer-reviewed and published at all in a ‘prestigious’ scientific journal is very worrying indeed.
A friend of mine wrote this, during the height of the Covid hysteria. Quite prophetic, I’m sure you will agree.
Official Government Mandate on Cutting Carbon Emissions
From 28th December 2021 all persons must reduce their intake of air by order of the Health Secretary. Breathing must be reduced as this will be a major breakthrough in the reduction of carbon emissions. Breathing shall initially only be allowed every 5 seconds. After a trial period of 6 months, the mandatory period between breaths shall be increased to a minimum of 7 seconds for a further 6 months, increasing every six months thereafter. In order to reach the mandatory target of zero human breath carbon emissions by 2030, a total ban on breathing will be in force by that date. The wearing of masks is currently helping to meet the zero emissions 2030 target and it is envisaged that the current mask mandates will also be withdrawn at the same time as the complete ban on breathing is introduced.
But it’s not CO2 these fanatics are targeting, it’s methane and nitrous oxide because:
It has been reported that exhaled human breath can contain the greenhouse gases methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O) [1, 2], both of which have a much higher global warming potential than carbon dioxide (CO2) (34 and 265 for CH4 and N2O, respectively [3]). Where hydrocarbon chains (food types) are consumed by humans and turned into CH4 (and N2O from nitrogen intake), the global warming potential is no longer neutral, and human respiration has a net warming effect on the atmosphere. Due to their ruminant digestive system in which methanogenesis (biological production of CH4) occurs [4], herbivorous livestock (e.g., cattle) are known to emit large quantities of CH4 globally in the form of breath and flatus, accounting for approximately 20% of anthropogenic CH4 emissions [5, 6]. While the global biological mass of humans (390 Mt) is estimated to be similar in magnitude (~62%) to that of domesticated animals at the global scale [7], emissions of CH4 are assumed to be significantly smaller. However, few studies have been carried out to examine this explicitly, and no study to date has investigated emissions in breath of the UK population.
“. . . . . . human respiration has a net warming effect on the atmosphere.” FFS these people are crazy! Also, from what they are saying, when it comes to assessing the potential for humans to ‘warm the atmosphere’ we are to be treated on the same level as cattle. So they are dangerous sociopaths too, as also revealed by their concluding remarks, which make my blood run cold. They tried hard to find a difference in breathing emissions between those on a vegan diet and those eating meat and dairy, but alas they could find no discernible difference. But that doesn’t prevent them from suggesting that some hypothetical imposed diet may reduce emissions from human breath. They also doubt their own finding that human breath emissions of methane and nitrous oxide are not significant, because they were obviously hoping to demonstrate that they were:
The measurements carried out in this study allow us to estimate UK-scale emissions of approximately 1.04 (0.86–1.40) Gg of CH4 and 0.069 (0.066–0.072) Gg of N2O emitted in the form of human breath. Based on a sample population of 104 volunteers, we estimate that the methane producing (MP) population in the UK is 25% for those aged less than 30 years, and 40% for those aged over 30 years of age. We have found no correlation between diet and emission of CH4 and N2O in breath and recommend if future studies wish to assess this in more detail, that rigid dietary regimes are implemented to reduce the effect of heterogeneity of emissions in a given population. While emissions of CH4 and N2O account for only 0.05% and 0.1% of the total emissions in the UK national greenhouse gas inventories, respectively, we would urge caution in the assumption that emissions from humans are negligible. We report only emissions in breath in this study, and flatus emissions are likely to increase these values significantly, though no literature characterises these emissions for people in the UK. Assuming that livestock and other wild animals also exhale emissions of N2O, there may still be a small but significant unaccounted for source of N2O emissions in the UK, which could account for more than 1% of national-scale emissions.
Because even if breathing is not a significant contributor to global warming . . . . . . there’s always farting! Cows fart methane . . . . . that’s why the climate crisis nutters want to cull them and stop us eating beef and consuming dairy. Humans fart methane too (lots of it - we’ve seen the videos of guys lighting their own farts!), so maybe we should be culled too:
Human flatus has been found with CH4 content of up to 29% [43], but very little is known about how this varies. Based on some opportunistic lab work that was carried out in this study, we know that flatus can contain extremely high concentration of N2O (greater than 30 ppm), but this has never been properly studied or reported in literature for humans. While flatus from livestock is commonly measured, there are barriers when performing experimentation on humans, primarily the embarrassment of participants and the inability to secure funds to carry out such research which carries with it some stigma due to the nature of the task. As the estimates of CH4 and N2O presented in this study do not account for flatus, we represent only the lowest possible emission from humans, and the true value of our own bodily emissions are likely significantly higher as a species.
You can stick a measuring probe up a cow’s bum to analyse their farts but you’re not going to find too many human subjects willing to submit to the same procedure and apparently funding for such an experiment is hard to come by - it sounds like the authors have already tried! So they’ll probably move onto cats and dogs next. Good luck sticking a probe up my dogs’ bums is all I can say!
John Kerry produced some memorable anal gas emissions at Cop28:

So, now it all starts to make sense...
