There’s something of a myth that DeSantis “won” in a landslide in the FL governor’s race. Actually, Dems stayed home. Charlie Crist was a horrible candidate.
The truth is that DeSantis can attract true believer votes, and that Crist managed to reverse the high turnout pattern of a decade. FL had an absurdly bad Dem party (may still have. The jury’s still out).
But the more people get to know Ron, the less they like him. Uninspiring, unlikeable, whiny, bad tempered, flustered, paranoid and petulant.
He may win the seat presently occupied by Scott Walker. Or George Wallace. Or Rick Perry. Or Michael Bloomberg.
