When Chicago hosts the Democratic National Convention in August, the Windy City will be less hospitable than the DNC and President Joe Biden hope for. In his statement, Biden said that Chicago is “a great choice” to host the convention where Democrats can “showcase our historic progress including building an economy from the middle out and bottom up, not from the top down.”
Yep. You can bet your bottom dollar these "migrants" will quickly disappear from view shortly before the DNC. This reminds me of what Chicago did on the eve of the 1968 DNC to conceal the run-down areas where the convention was held, i.e. eye-sore empty lots, etc., where hidden behind quickly installed wooden fences. For what it's worth, I was born and raised in Chicago and remember a lot of great times, Cubs, Sox, Bears, Blackhawks. Majestic movie theaters and free admission to the many fine museums. Staying up all night at the lakefront during smelt-fishing season. We left the area in 2005 and moved to Wisconsin. My plan is never to go back to what each day is looking more and more like a war zone.
