Why do so many visions of the future valorize the removal of human experience? Convenience is one thing; fine. But so many "futurists" are allergic to the experiences of being dislocated, feeling challenged, struggling to enter into new spaces, et al. Travel, especially as a tourist, is about so much more than streamlining efficiencies. As to biometrics: let's come back to the upsisdes in-potential topic once the risks for abuse and misuse have been neutralized or at least meaningfully minimized.

Using our heartbeats for ID and security checks? That's like sci-fi stuff come to life! And who wouldn't want plane seats that adjust to your body shape and cool entertainment beamed straight to your eyes? Long flights will be way less of a pain, that's for sure!
That language hearing aid is gonna be a total lifesaver. No more awkwardly flipping through translation books or struggling with language apps. We'll be able to chat with people from all over the world, no problemo!
And those smart hotel rooms? Talk about a sweet, customized stay. You'll feel right at home even if you're on the other side of the planet. Plus, the 3D printing thing is just insane – imagine not having to lug around a heavy suitcase anymore, and being eco-friendly at the same time!
This post has me seriously pumped for the future of travel. Can't wait to see all these crazy-cool ideas become reality! 🌟✈️🌏😄
By 2070, or some time later, physical travel will be obsolete. We will all travel in virtual reality, which will allow us to pick a place, a time and conditions to meet our specifications and coordinate our travel with others who want the same experience, without leaving our home based virtual travel room. Smells, sights, sounds, touch and taste will all be digital, including sun, sea, wind, etc.
Absolutely none of the future travel described has any allure (maybe a more comfortable seat), though a world without paranoia and fears would be something to dream.
