SPEAKER 1
I went camping with River this weekend. It was our first trip of the year. I'm covered in mosquito bites, but we did have a great time. And this morning, of course, it went all too quickly. We were cycling into school and he said, what shall I tell the teacher? What should I tell the teacher about our trip?

I thought about it. We know we do things and then we create the story of it. The story of what we've done is part of reflective practice. So we'll use today for storytelling, a chance for you to write or consider the story of your leadership. Just very simple.

What's one thing you'd be really proud to include in it? And what's one thing that you'd probably leave out? Just use it as a light reflection. I hope you two had a good weekend and I'll see you tomorrow.

Day #554 - Camping

The Story of your Leadership

It was our first camping trip of the year. Just River and myself this time, which was lovely. Now that he’s five, River is able to help out a bit more (and also just amuse himself whilst i build the camp). We sat on our chairs out in the sunshine, eating off our laps, and enjoying being together.

Of course the weekend went all too quickly, and today it’s back to school and work. As we cycled in, River asked me what he should tell his teacher about our camping trip. What was his story of the weekend.

We do things, and we create stories around them. And the act of story making is, itself, a reflective practice.

Use your sixty seconds today to consider the story of your leadership.

Is there one thing you would be proud to include? And one thing that you would prefer to leave out?
