SEOUL/PYONGYANG - After armed North Korean soldiers crossed over the country's heavily fortified Military Demarcation Line (MDL) located in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) on Sunday, South Korean soldiers fired warning shots, according to the South Korean military on Tuesday.

At 12:30 in the afternoon on Sunday armed North Korean soldiers carrying construction tools crossed over the Military Demarcation Line (MDL) on Sunday, South Korean soldiers fired warning shots, according to the South Korean military on Tuesday, South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said, adding that South Korean soldiers immediately fired warning shots and warned the soldiers via audio broadcasts.
