CSLV: Glenbrook South Soccer and Maine South's Spandiary recognized
Trevian and Hawk alums excel collegiately on soccer pitch.
TEAM OF THE WEEK
Glenbrook South boys soccer won the 38th Annual Jim Wolter Titan Invitational Championship when it defeated Glenbard West 2-0 in the title game.

Chris Vazquez was named MVP of the tournament. Four Titan and 2 Maine East Blue Demons were named to the All-Tournament Team.
CSLV PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Maine South Flag Football’s Aribella Spandiary was 14 of 20 passing for 347 yards with 5 touchdown passes in a 42-6 victory over Deerfield, per Dion Martorano of Journal & Topics Media Group. Per Martorano, she also had games of 275 yards and 4 TDs (Zion-Benton) and 275 yards and 4 TDs (Stagg).
A DOZEN CSL STANDOUTS
New Trier boys cross country’s Ben Crane ran the 2.9 mile course of the Hinsdale Central Red Devil Invite in a blistering time of 13:58.30 to win the event.
Evan Parker of Niles North boys cross country took 4th at the Red Devil Invite with a time of 14:25.30.
Kaitlyn Burns of Glenbrook South girls cross country won the Rich Eschman XC Invitational in 19:24.76 to lead the Titans to a team third-place finish in a 9-team field.
Evanston girls cross country’s Stella Davis ran the Red Devil Invite in 17:10.50 to earn 5th in a strong field.
Glenbrook South football’s Tyrone Cotton had a 39-yard touchdown catch and a 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in a win over Lake Zurich.
Ocho Finn scored his third goal of the season for Vernon Hills boys soccer in a 3-2 win vs. Cary-Grove.
Glenbrook North girls volleyball’s Courtney Owen totaled 7 kills and 9 digs in a Spartans win over Niles West. She also had zero serving errors on 13 attempts in the match.
Vernon Hills flag football’s Frannie Poulos recorded 2 TDs and interception in a victory over Maine West.
Michael Dellumo of Maine South football scored on touchdown down runs of 39 and 37 and intercepted 2 passes in the Hawks’ win over Warren.
Quinn Schimanski of Deerfield football had an 80-yard touchdown run and a 29-yard receiving score, and accounted for 228 yards in the Warriors’ win over Highland Park. The victory was Deerfield’s 7th in a row in the series.
New Trier girls tennis’ No. 1 singles player Lily Hermann won her match against Maine South 7-6 (7), 6-0.
Sophia Kamarauli of Vernon Hills girls swimming won the 100 backstroke in 59.75 and 200 IM in 2:18.46 in a meet with Vernon Hills.

New Trier graduate Evan Kanellos recorded an assist in a 4-0 University of Chicago men’s soccer victrory over North Central College.
Maine South graduate John Cronnolly put 4 shots on target and scored a goal in a Dominican University men’s soccer victory over Fontbonne.
