SPEAKER 1
Right, I know, the title is quite catchy. Is Bitcoin apolitical? But before I start or get into a huge rant about politics, and sorry in advance, Let's set the scene a bit of how I came about with this topic. So politics has already been an interest in my life.

Not that I was aiming for a career in politics or anything, but a lot of my friends work in think tanks, in coalitions, in parties and, you know, just involved in politics. And generally speaking, whenever we meet, Bitcoin is a talking voice because I'm always going like, oh,

it doesn't matter if it's the left wing or the right wing. It's still the same fucking bird. You don't do shit for your voters. You're only interested with your special interest groups and all of these typical libertarian Bitcoin arguments you would hear. And then, yesterday, a friend of mine sent me a message.

Is Bitcoin Apolitical?

I've had some thoughts about Bitcoin and politics. Here's a video post with my thoughts and a semi long rant about it.

Joël here! 👋

I spoke with a friend a few days ago.

As always, our main talking points were the economy, politics, and Bitcoin.

He made the case that Bitcoin is not apolitical and that we should embrace policy more.

This is extremely difficult for me. I tend to attack politicians more easily, as I don’t have much respect for them.

All you need to do is work for THE PEOPLE and not your special interest group friends.

OK, I’m ranting again. I knew that my friend had a point. It’s not helpful to ignore this fact but instead, find a solution.

This sent me down a rabbit hole and urged me to create this video.
