They want people to believe this, so they're going to be writing from a biased perspective. We know that. When people have an agenda, their testimony is going to be skewed because they're advocating for a cause. They're going to tell you things to try to sway you to believe that Jesus is who he said he was.

I think that's a fair criticism. To say that these authors of Matthew, Mark, and Luke, that they had an agenda. Yes, 100%. Those three guys are convinced that Jesus is the Messiah. And they're writing to make sure that you become convinced that Jesus is the Messiah. But I want you to think about this.

It’s the time of year when a lot of myths and fun stories are told, all with the intent of inspiring hope and goodwill. So how can we know that the stories in the gospels are not the same? How do we know these things really happened. That was the topic I discussed this last week, and in this clip I wanted to focus specifically on the claim that the gospel writers had an agenda, so they can’t really be trusted. I agree they had an agenda, but to say that destroys their believability makes no sense. Take a look.

We publish these clips every week in an effort for all of us to grow deeper in the word and closer to Christ. If you’d like to join us and support the ministry, we’d love for you to consider being part of our paid subscriber group:
