Texas AG Drops Charges Against 2 Harris County Employees in Vaccine Outreach Bid-Ridding Scandal
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has dropped felony charges against two former staffers of Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo in a case related to an $11 million vaccine outreach contract bid rigging. The individuals whose charges were dismissed are Aaron Dunn and Wallis Nader. However, charges against a third staffer, Alex Triantaphyllis, have not been dropped. This decision follows after newly elected Harris County District Attorney Sean Teare recused his office from the prosecution to avoid any conflict of interest.
