Weekend Reading #35
A recap of the last week, some recent finds, sales, and purchases, what I'm watching, and more.
Hi! I hope you’re all enjoying the weekend so far. I’m really missing those 80 degree temps and sitting poolside with a book and a spritz. But it’s going to be 40 on Sunday and in the high 40s the first half of next week!
We don’t have anything big planned here – just getting together with some friends and their kids which is always nice. Conor has an open house downtown, so I’ll be home with the kids today. My friend may come by with her son, and another friend is coming by with her girls while Jack naps. I’m planning to get together with another friend and her kids tomorrow. I honestly love days like this, and having people over, or stopping by a friends’ house feels so cozy and comfortable. I love when a friend is comfortable enough to just walk in the door and the kids just run off together.
And a quick reminder that next week, I’ll announce one paid subscriber to receive a monthly box of goodies. This month’s box includes this, so if you’re not signed up, it’s $5 per month, my monthly giveaways are pretty good and I share one paid weekly post, plus – it’s a nice way to support all the free content that I produce.
It really was so nice to get away, although I need a bit of a reset, so I’m excited for next week’s Sakara delivery. Use DANIELLEMOSS for 20% off.
We walked in the door, and were right back to bedtime, school drop-off, making lunches, and juggling work and chasing a toddler. Vacation over. For the first time maybe ever, I took two days to unpack which is sort of unheard of for me, but it’s done, and I am mostly caught up on laundry.
The ladies on the trip were raving about the show Younger, so I started that, and it’s been a nice, light watch so far. They also told me that I need to watch Love is Blind. Have you watched? Is it good or terrible? Or both?
I just finished 28 Summers, and want to start another Elin Hilderbrand book, although now that I’m home and scrambling to get work done while Jack naps, and the mornings Conor can take him, I’m not sure when reading is going to happen. ðŸ«
But good news – we found a sitter who can come two days a week, and have a summer sitter lined up until our new au pair arrives. More on that and how I knew she was the one in my Feb BTS post next week.
My big project this week, which I started yesterday and finished today is a tutorial on how to make stickers with a Cricut. I really took the time to do this step-by-step – it’s a good one. I’m planning on following up with a video, too, but this wasn’t my day for that. And since we had a Friday sitter, I was able to finish Weekend Reading before Jack’s nap which is huge.
Boden is having a storewide sale. I linked all my favorites here. My girls own most of them!
Minnow’s spring collection launched and it’s so cute. I love this floral rashguard, this set, and this one, too.
This dress is back in stock. Use DANIELLE15 for 15% off.
I restocked my 5 minute morning makeup routine.
This hat arrived the day I landed in Punta Cana. It’s so cute and comfortable, and would be great for a trip. And I love this clutch (brought it on the trip).
I did a big spring/summer/wardrobe update for the girls. You can see everything I bought here. Jack won’t need much since his cousin passed along all his clothes. Maybe a few tees? But I think he’s mostly set!
