A good explanation from the legend on why he didn't want to be traded at midseason.
Good morning. Let’s basketball.
Tea; Mary Cassatt; 1880
Scores
Blazers 129, Wizards 121 — Shaedon Sharpe with what appears to be the current leader for Dunk of the Year. Holy smokes.
A Canadian dunking all over D.C. Huh.
This dunk was so good that in the aftermath, the NBA put out a 10-minute Shaedon Sharpe dunk compilation.
Sixers 105, Knicks 110 — Gritty loss for the Sixers here. Jalen Brunson is a massive difference-maker.
Raptors 91, Pacers 111 — Tyrese Haliburton is doing things. Since the New Year he’s averaging 20-9 on 63% eFG. Very strong.
Celtics 97, Pistons 117 — Incredible victory for Detroit, who’d stacked up a winning streak mostly against bad opponents. Boston isn’t bad, to say the least.
Jayson Tatum put Cade Cunningham in the netherworld.
Ausar Thompson returned the favor.
Thompson is experiencing a leap this season, not quite as visible as that of his twin brother. But it’s there, and it’s helping along with Cunningham staying healthy and excelling, plus Jalen Duren staying healthy and excelling, plus the veterans like Tobias Harris and Malik Beasley doing their jobs beautifully, plus, of course, Coach of the Year J.B. Bickerstaff having smart rotations and a system that works for the talent. What a team!
