Mid-Major Madness has named Murray State senior forward Katelyn Young as their National Player of the Week.
In wins over Evansville and Indiana State last week, Young averaged 29 points, six rebounds and five assists as she led the Racers to a share of their first-ever Missouri Valley Conference regular season championship.
As Murray State prepares to play in the conference tournament on Friday, Young has scored 2,946 career points, which is good for 18th on the Division I all-time scoring list.
