Back to this post.
The Ides of March has always held a major historical significance—often involving dictators. There is something about the middle of March. As my mom would say, there is “something in the air.”
Trump is losing patience because he is losing in his attempt to crush our resistance.
His “shock and awe” with Elon Musk has been shocking in its cruelty but not awe-inducing in its elimination of opposition.
The opposition grows.
It doesn’t slow.
Protests at Tesla dealerships. Protests across the country. Protests across the world. Boycotts of American goods across the world. New alliances by democracies across the world icing America out are taking shape. Money leaving America for European and Asian markets speeds up. Judges issuing injunctions against Trump to block his actions crush him.
Trump is alone.
A ranting and raving lunatic tilting at windmills at Mar-a-Lago.
Trump has no patience for this resistance and opposition.
This weekend he escalated his dictator agenda by invoking the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 and using a social media post to declare all of former President Biden’s pardons void. To be clear, Trump has no ability to declare pardons by former President Biden void.
Under the Alien Enemies Act, Trump sent about 200 migrants who he claims are gang members—most of whom are Venezuelan—to El Salvador, where they were thrown in concentration camps in a brutal ISIS-style video produced by the American government. Many of the migrants had denied gang affiliations, and none were given a hearing in the United States in violation of the Constitution. Trump also sent these migrants to El Salvador after a federal judge issued an order blocking Trump from doing so.
In the Ides of March, and in under 60 days since the inauguration, Trump has managed to cause an economic crisis, a military crisis, and a constitutional crisis at the same time. He is quickly sinking under the weight of his own incompetent fascist designs, and he is now staring down the power of the people.
Trump thought we’d all submit. We said no. We resist. We oppose the regime. We’ve built alliances here in the U.S. and international alliances to bolster the pro-democracy movement. The Meidas Mighty grows and multiplies. Our reach is felt throughout the world as we fight for democracy, for freedom, for equality, and for normalcy. Shoutout to the protests in Belgrade and in Budapest and in Tbilisi. The Meidas Mighty has your back.
Hey Meidas Mighty, you are the true heroes. You’ve found strength in these troubled times to fight for your family and for future generations. The Ides of March is upon us. The days ahead won’t be easy. But we will fight and we will win.

I'm so proud to be #MeidasMightyStrong. After last night's rant claiming Biden's pardon are revoked, we need to stand strong and together more than ever.
It’s crazy how many illegal and shameful ideas pop into this moron’s head!
Why in the hell aren’t more people speaking out against this insanity? People in high positions should cut him off at the knees. He needs to be stopped, and people need to act NOW!!!
