The upcoming anime Private Tutor to the Duke's Daughter, based on the light novel series by Riku Nanano and illustrator Cura, has released a teaser video and confirmed a July 2025 premiere. Gree made the announcement on Monday, which excited fans of the fantasy series.
Along with the teaser, the anime’s staff announced that they will introduce new cast members for four consecutive weeks, starting on April 6. This means fans can expect a steady stream of updates leading up to the premiere.

Story Overview
The anime follows Allen, a talented young sorcerer who fails his final exam for a royal court position. With no money left, he takes on a job as a private tutor for Tina, the daughter of the powerful Duke Howard.
Despite being academically brilliant, Tina cannot cast a single spell—an issue that even the best sorcerers have failed to fix. With the Royal Academy entrance exams approaching, Allen must use his special spellcasting methods to help Tina overcome her magical struggles. However, her father, the duke, may have his own plans.

The Private Tutor to the Duke's Daughter light novel series began online in 2017 on Kakuyomu. Kadokawa has been publishing the novels in print since 2018 and will release the 19th volume on April 18, 2025. A manga adaptation by Tamura Mutō has been running since 2019, with the latest volume released in February 2024.
