Born on this day in 1923, Marcel Marceau was the world’s most famous mime—a man who spoke volumes without saying a word. At first glance, it may look like he’s idly doodled across the top of this particular page, but in fact this illustration—presumably by Marceau—appeared on all of his correspondence for decades.
