Why Did the Democrats Lose (Again) to President Trump?
Let's Take a Trip Down Memory Lane, Shall We?
I’ve lost two wars. While it wasn’t solely my fault, I certainly played a role in our defeats in both the Iraq and Afghan wars. Nevertheless, we responded by refusing to admit we lost either war and blamed our local partners for losing wars we didn’t win. My sincere hope is that the Democrats do a better job than DoD did in reflecting and trying to change how they approach their adversaries.
I’m happy that my Dem friends won an election last night that nobody cares about, so I’m still wondering if Democrats are (finally?) beginning to assess their current predicament. Nevertheless, more meaningful work must be done before the pivotal 2026 Congressional election. As Democrats find themselves in the political wilderness once again, I pray they are starting to acknowledge that people don’t like them all that much.
And who is to blame the American people?
Let’s pretend you’re from another planet and you've only watched those few videos. Would you like Trump’s chances? Now, of course, what I presented were all of Biden and Harris’ worst hits and nothing from Trump’s litany of nonsense.
But here’s the thing: he won. Fair and square. Until the Democrats confront the cold, hard truth that people loathe them for their consistent and persistent tendency to belittle the very people they need to win elections, they will remain in the political wilderness, grasping at straws and blaming the voters for their failure to defeat a man they consistently underestimated.
How’s that working out so far?

I’ll be traveling for the rest of the week, so we may have limited content. As always, thank you for your patience with our minor grammatical errors and technical difficulties. We’re still a work in progress, but we’ve come a long way in just over a year!
Being neither a Democrat nor a Republican, I've always simply viewed the Dems as having this "whiny" wing of the party, the top of the wokey-wokeness, who suck up all of the attention and become the de facto face of the party. Meanwhile, there's always been a wing of the Republican Party very much interested in destroying the Constitution, perhaps going as far as modifying our rights, but whose members KNOW they cannot talk about such things and thus have never really gained much attention (because they don't want it). Here, I'm thinking about Project 2025 as an example.
Am I right in having thought of things this way for the last 35 years? I've assumed that the wokeness nonsense was always a thing that could be burst like a bubble, rather easily, as I believe we are seeing now? I never saw the Democrats leading us to communism, let's just put it that way. But on the other side, by the time the bubble can be burst you will be subject to imprisonment or worse for even touching the bubble.
