Discover more from time spent offline
Hi there,
I turn a year older Saturday. Time feels oppressively cruel. I slow down to slow down time.
Five things to share:
When you give up digital vices and distractions, time becomes abundant. The five minute here, the half hour over there, spent scrolling through news feeds and passively reading Instagram captions accumulate to time waiting to be filled. What do you do instead? After all, we are a culture of doing. The status quo is busyness. Between all the productivity hacks, yet another to-do list app, and work-life balance workshops, nobody stops to ask, what’s all the rush for? Either way, time is running out.
A quote I want to share with you this week:
Idleness is fatal only to the mediocre.
— Albert Camus
Learning/unlearning.
When in doubt, go for a walk: Demons hate it when you go outside, demons hate fresh air.
A question for you: How are you going to slow down this week?
That’s all for this week!
Thank you for reading, and please share with anyone you think may benefit.
