JARED LOUGHNER WHY HE DID IT
If you read my blog, you know that Xtrology believes the key to a person's personality belongs in their focal planets. With Jared Loughner, we can start with the focal mutable Virgo Sun. A focal planet is the result of two planets in oppostion to each other and the focal planet at 90 degrees to both, squares both. It is extremely negative energy, but it is energy and some of us use it quite well -- to push ourselves forward. But in the most negative sense, it is narcissism.
His other focal planet is his Moon, again mutable Virgo. It its most negative display, it makes the native very, very sensitive to all outside stimili. It would be great to be able to tell you that I can see mental illness, but I have not found that to be the case. He has two focal planets -- totally within the realms of being normal. His Mercury is in Libra where he should speak in a diplomatic manner. Venus in Leo and Mars in Aries, it's ruler and therefore a good placement.
Mars, always the most negative planet in progressions, is trining natal Venus. The Sun, second only to Mars in intensity, is opposing natal Mars (and that counts as a Mars progression). However it's only in an opposition. While negative, you would not expect this outcome. His progressed Moon in Cancer is squaring his Libra Mercury exact. There's a clue, but, again, to what? There is no way this chart would produce these results in a normal person. That's where the events in a person's life become important. Along with astrology, you have to know what's going on. We're not psychic. Only with the information of his behavior would an astrologer know that this chart, for someone like Jared Loughner, is dangerous.
He doesn't look on paper like a violent person. And probably he is not. This is the fault of "the system." People did notice that his behavior was erratic. This is a young man, who was slipping into mental illness. He needed help, and he did not get it. The deaths surrounding him are the fault of the people that knew him -- that part of human behavior that lets someone else do the dirty work.
Surprisingly, even with the transiting Pluto sitting on his natal Neptune, he didn't die. But he'll never see the light of day. Heard anything lately about the guy on the plane last Christmas? His fate is far worse. Obscurity. And he has us, society, to thank. Where were we when he gave us so many signals that he was in trouble?
