It’s been a few years since we owned a full-sized grill. I mostly Sous Vide all our meat (cooking the steak directly from the freezer in water, then finishing on my carbon steel pan). This produces consistent and fabulous results.
However, I have missed having a grill around - especially for cooking hamburgers. That’s why I like the Otto Grill so much. This is a tabletop grill that is about the size of a microwave.
It is super compact and nice for cooking up grill items super-fast. If you are looking for something portable, it’s not too difficult to move around.
One unique feature of the grill is that under the adjustable slide out shelf, there is a tray that you fill up with water that prevents the fat from a burger from creating a flare up and causing flames. The fat drippings just land in the water.
It also has a nice feature where you can disassemble it for easy cleanup.
Otto makes some great accessories as well such as the stand
Or the portable box
There are a few different models of the Otto Grill. I got the Pro as it has all the features I wanted - most importantly the adjustable shelf.
It takes a bit of getting used to when you first start cooking with it. I have found it does an incredible job once you are past the learning curve.
Am a big fan. Just got the pizza kit.
