Blueberry season is upon us and I need to make sure everyone knows to always choose berries that have a dusty/powdery white finish. It’s a good thing called the bloom and it protects them. Also: try to eat your blueberries while the bloom is still on them. Shiny means they are past their prime, or getting there, and may be mushy.
