Yes, I’d love to have thousands of paid subscribers.
Yes, I’d love to quit all other work and just write.
Yes, I’d love to be on an island, tapping away, all the bills paid.
But more than that I want to connect with as many people as possible. I want to share. I want to change the world with my words.
That’s the real gold right there.
I closed my X account recently. I’d love to say letting my few thousand followers there know that I was leaving for good led to an influx of new subscribers here but it didn’t. No one saw the post because the muppets at X buried it.
I’m happy to be somewhere sane.
