The "we donated to both sides" argument is such a bogus one. The false equivalency between Democrats and Republicans must not be tolerated.

Indeed JM. One side wants to maybe help us sometimes and the other would have us all be serfs with no wealth, health nor hope tomorrow. How to choose right? /s

I find it interesting that companies are giving money to PACs and candidates that push government intrusion into health care while at the same time instituting policies that give them more information and control over their employees' lives.

Let's not ignore the bottom line that these stands on abortion are most vehemently made by people who know practically nothing about fertility, pregnancy, and birth. Observe the irony that many strident anti-abortion proponents in the guise of PRO LIFE are actually arguing in favor of what can cause more illness and death to women. Then, but too involved to discuss here, the religious position with its fear about death comes to conclusions that are not true about LIFE.

Ii deactivated my Twitter account when it was pretty obvious Musk was purchasing Twitter. When he reneged, I wasn't too surprised and have been thinking of signing up again. After this article, nah. I haven't really missed it, so I won't bother. They probably won't be around too much longer anyway.

I’ve heard many companies explain that they give to organizations on both sides of the aisle to make sure they are treated well by government. You could almost say they are paying the gangs protection money.

Why is this perceived as necessary in a well functioning democracy? Why would it have any influence at all? Yet companies believe they must do it.
