US Bankruptcy Tracker: Large Filings Surge to Highest Since 2010

More large companies have filed for bankruptcy this month than in any January since 2010, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.

There have been 20 large <-bsp-bb-link state="{"bbHref":"bbg://screens/BCY","_id":"00000186-0821-d8f6-a9f7-5aaf9e850000","_type":"0000016b-944a-dc2b-ab6b-d57ba1cc0000"}">bankruptcy filings — those tied to at least $50 million of liabilities — in the US this month. That’s more than any January since 2010, which saw 25 such filings, the data shows.
