KINGSBURG, Calif. (FOX26) — A school bus driver is now recovering after suffering from a medical emergency while transporting students in Kingsburg.
According to the California Highway Patrol, two fast-acting coaches helped steer a bus full of students toward a tree and away from harm on Wednesday around 6:11 p.m.
Officers say the bus driver, who was not identified, felt light-headed while driving roughly 40 students from a school basketball game.
The bus driver was then taken to a Selma hospital for treatment and their condition remains unknown at this time. Officers did mention, however, she was conscious prior to leaving for the hospital.
