OGDEN, Utah (KUTV) — Two people were injured after a driver experienced a medical emergency, causing them to crash into a building in Weber County.
According to Lt. Will Farr with the Ogden Police Department, the crash happened at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday near 26th Street and Lincoln Avenue in Ogden.

He said the driver of a vehicle was traveling west through the parking lot of Weber Human Services when he suffered from some sort of medical issue, which caused him to lose consciousness.
As a result, the driver's foot pressed down on the accelerator, forcing him into a nearby building.
Police said the passenger inside the vehicle managed to steer the vehicle through the parking lot at a high rate of speed, across Lincoln Avenue, and into the building.

Both the driver and passenger suffered minor injuries during the incident. It was unknown if they were transported to a nearby hospital or not.
The building suffered major damage as a result of the incident, and crews worked to secure the building so that the vehicle could be safely removed.
