i was just thinking today about how eddington and one battle both feel almost explicitly designed to sit inside the web of contradictions inherent to the way we talk about things online, both are representing a type of content that is contradictory to all sides of typical discourse enough that they somehow ascend the flattening that the platform internet seems to force onto any piece of art. i guess we can see this kind of thing in music too (thinking of jpegmafia’s work on all my heroes are cornballs as prime example)—would be curious if anyone has any other examples of this kind of thing
