Spring Writing Challenge 🌼

A story of exactly 4 sentences

It must include:

• A moment of change 🌱

• Something hidden or about to emerge 🐣

• A sensory detail of spring 🌤️

Mine:

The cold, blistering winds of Minnesota winter, and the snow whose color had changed within the first few days of the season to a rusty brown were finally at their end.

My own mind was warmed by thoughts of leaves returning to trees, and the grass greening and showing the signs of life that define this spring forward, however, I had even more reason to look forward to this seasonal transition.

Excitement was brewing as I had been laid off during the winter months secluded indoors, and longing for the construction project to start back up again after we had been shut down during the frigid months.

The sunshine provided the warmth on my skin I had been missing since before Thanksgiving, melted the snow which covered every surface, and brightened the days as we finally returned to the jobsite.
