The UK System isn’t exactly a model of efficiency or quality either
The State should not be involved in healthcare delivery.
Nor should these giant conglomerate providers be allowed to be the monopolies they are 🤷🏼♂️. They have forced the small medical practices to conform or close 🤬
I recently spent the better part of a month in Scotland. I almost had to laugh at the TV ads for private insurance to get you in sooner for health care.....but in reality, it is sad and is no laughing matter.
I totally agree with you. I have relatives that live in Wales and it takes months to get to see a physician, and if you are elderly, they will find a way to not prolong your life. As bad as it is here, I'ts still better than that. Unfortunately, the pharmaceutical companies have alot of control in our well being.
I have a 74 yo relative in the UK. He needed a procedure in 2022 and he is still waiting. But those in England anyway are mind-numbing proud of their healthcare system. I worked with a Brit some years ago, mouthy thing that said everyone is seen immediately and no one waits. Psyop works.
There is a private medical system in all these countries if you can afford it. In Italy, a private physician was called to the hotel to determine Gail's illness. Pneumonia was the diagnosis. Italy is not known for cleanliness in their public rest rooms. Charged 230 Euros. Went to the drugstore for the medication and it was much cheaper than in the USA. Our Global Big Pharma companies derive over 50% of their profit by manipulating the pricing in the USA. Other countries cap their pricing and re…
