There's a subtle mindset you must fight when you spend time with God.
Are you there to get answers, generate power, gain wisdom or receive training for your "real" life after prayer?
Or are you there for intimacy and character formation?
Even if nothing changes after the time you spend with God, would it have been time well spent nonetheless?
(Of course, things will change. You can't be with God and your life remains the same.)
The point is, is God someone you visit or is he your real life, and ever…

You always own your intellectual property, mailing list, and subscriber payments. With full editorial control and no gatekeepers, you can do the work you most believe in.
I just got back from teaching my class and every word of it this is true, this is no exaggeration. He is writing from an American university but it is exactly the same in Canada.
