That's a real thing and very difficult to change. I've seen it up close and personal and marvel at how your chosen life partner can shift that in real time, for better or worse.

Your letter is also an important reminder that how we leave this world has a profound effect on those we leave behind. How we set up and distribute our estates can have a multi-generational impact (again, for better or worse).
