TIL that when Daniel Jones broke his collarbone in college, two of his Duke teammates made him a 3D-printed pad that enabled him to play just 3 weeks later.

After graduation, these guys then turned it into a legitimate business (called Protect3D).

They won $50,000 from the NFL's innovation competition and have even secured a contract with the DoD for military-grade wearables.

But when Daniel Jones fractured his fibula this year, he called them up again for help.

They made Jones another custom pad (pictured below), which is now helping him play with a broken leg.

What a wild story.
