Listen up kids! Writing is hard work. So study hard in school so you can learn how to talk English good.

Are any of you Substack creators able to create a new video post right now, or does it default to an audio post (asking for an audio file) when you try to do that?

He fled violent gangs in El Salvador that were threatening him and his family.

A U.S. court protected him from deportation. He got a work permit, a job, a wife, and three kids. No criminal record. Then ICE deported him anyway—by "mistake"—and dumped him into a Salvadoran prison built to house the very gangs he ran from.

No trial. No heari…

I read a poignant article this morning. The author, The Great Wall Street, is a prominent writer who frequently posts about financial news in China; yet, their newest article is about something entirely different. Titled “Call to Arms”, it opens with a story of a high school student doing something so normal: applying for summer internsh…

Off topic election thoughts;

Really looking forward to moving past Election Day. Walked into a long line that went out the door at the poles early this morning. Haven’t seen this before though I usually vote after work. With the presidential democrat candidate that didn’t receive one vote, is completely unqualified and can’t seem to answer a question without rambling on and on, it’s hard for me to understand how this election is so close.

Not sure if you knew, when Kamala Harris was DA in San Fra…

I wanted to tell you what happened to me at the polls this AM. I am in NH at least 4 nights per week so that’s where I vote. They check ID’s here which is great! I got my ballot, filled it out and went to put it in the hand counting slot, there’s a sign there. I always put my ballot there because I don’t trust the machine for all of the reasons that have been discussed. The woman there stopped me and said no just put it through the machine so I told her I prefer it hand counted. She said ok but…

WOW! This is crazy to hear- I’m so happy you went back & requested your name be removed from that “list”! Sounds like a red flag to me- in regards to jotting your name (& possibly others), that prefer to have your ballot hand counted. I don’t like the fact machines with software are used for ballots & recording those votes- I always complete my ballot at home (CO mails ballots out); after I finish voting & filling in the circles, I hand carry my ballot to my county voting precinct, & inside the…

I pray DJT wins as well Patricia. So the head election lady couldn’t find the list, she eventually did and placed it in front of me. She tried to show me a letter from the Secretary of State saying to make a list of peoples names that wanted their ballot hand counted. I told her I don’t care who said to make the list I don’t want to be on it, it’s illegal to make a list of names period. The ridiculous thing was there was only my name and one other name of ballots that were put into the hand cou…

I appreciate the fact you went back & asked to have your name removed from the list- My thought & question is, what were the intentions of the SOS? What was the election-head-lady told to do in the event a voter wanted their vote hand-counted? Then, you had a moment after your name was already on the list…I’m a curious cat!

I should have said no I not giving you my name from the start. The poll lady showed me a letter from the Secretary of State saying to get a list of people asking for hand counted ballots. She mentioned they may reach out to me and explain that there’s no need to hand count the ballots. I stopped her and said I don’t want to be reached out to. I don’t care who wants my name on the list I just don’t want to my name associated with my ballot on a list period. I want my privacy and my ballot to be secret as that’s how it is supposed to be ….. hope that explains it. She wasn’t exactly sure why they wanted a list she was somewhat guessing.
