Jillian Kondamudi thank you for tagging me to share why I write and who I write for!

For as long as I can remember, writing has been my outlet—I think a lot of thoughts, and feel a lot of feels. I have stacks of journals....that's how I process and pray. I thought I would be an English major in college but couldn't bear spending all that money "just reading books and writing," so I majored in geology (lol) where I hung out with hippies and went for hikes. It was glorious.

But writing stuck with me. While briefly studying education in grad school, one professor was convinced I was training to be an English teacher, even though I was going for science. Was I resisting my calling?...who knows. All I know is that God works all things together for good.

Now I write for the women with big, sensitive hearts, who try too hard and do too much and perform and please and perfect and are burning out or anxious or depressed. The ones who learned to do for others but never think of themselves. Because I've lived it.

My life collapsed in 2010, but God met me miraculously and has been healing my heart and showing me the way of His love and grace, and how to embrace my femininity, and I can't not share that with others. My desire is to help free women from the burdens and pressures they were never meant to carry. This scripture grounds my mission:

Is this not the fast that I have chosen:
To loose the bonds of wickedness,
To undo the heavy burdens,
To let the oppressed go free,
And that you break every yoke?

-Isaiah 58:6

So my little tagline is "Graceful living for wild women." I think that's pretty accurate. 🤍

I also write for anyone interested in slowing down, addressing the things of the heart, and returning to our human design— and who aren't a fan of hacks or Christian cliches.

I would love to hear from Called Homeward, Ashaki D., Cole Douglas Claybourn, Rebecca Riley, Órla Kenny, Lauren Holler LPC, Rachel G. Vick, Chérie!

Thank you Mandy Morris and Dawn Pulgine for tagging me for a prompt sharing the reason I write and who it’s for.

I’ve always been writing, ever since a little girl. It’s how I process the world and life inside it. I started journaling when I was finding my way back to God, after a few years of living apart from Him. I had doubts about God, His character, and Hi…
