I grew up Southern Baptist, which means I’m about as pro-Israel as they come. (God’s Chosen People, and all.) But when even Donald Trump admits that the Gazans are getting starved, well then maybe partisans need to start acknowledging reality on the ground. And that Bibi is ignoring it, and insisting otherwise, for political advantage. These photos ain’t AI. It’s no-joke suffering, from people who can’t escape their lot. However corrupt their leaders, they have nowhere else to go. They’re just starving. Yes, Hamas is crooked and horrible and willing to exploit their own people for photo-ops, and should be decapitated. Yes, all the hostages haven’t been returned, and need to be. But we shouldn’t have the luxury of applying our humanity and morals and right’n’wrong as it suits us. Either we’re for doing the right thing, or we’re not. If you’re as barbaric as your enemy, why are you any better? And this is wrong, no matter how you cut it. Sort the politics out later, but stop the starvation now:
