Am happy to see some Trumpsters and Trumpster-adjacents finally admit that Cheeto Jesus isn’t infallible after all (even Fox criticized him!). And that shooting Alex Pretti in the back was closer to a cold-blooded murder of an ICU nurse than it was neutralizing a “domestic terrorist.” Still, over the last decade, I’ve been through these cycles enough times to know that a bridge too far is never a bridge too far. There’s always one more bridge. By which I mean, infinite bridges. So when I read that apologists are now celebrating that Trump’s replacing dog-shooter/Botox Barbie, Kristi Noem, with Tom Homan in his War on Minnesota (Homan allegedly being “the adult in the room”), I have to laugh. Not just because Homan is the “adult” who has been accused of accepting 50 grand in cash in a Cava bag, which he has yet to account for. But because Trump has a rich history of replacing one corrupt lackey with another. So the real problem here isn’t the corrupt lackeys. It’s the corrupt mob boss who keeps appointing them. Which never seems to dawn on all the hopeful Trump HR hobbyists, whose willful naivete knows no bounds, and who wouldn’t recognize the truth if it bit them in their ballsacks.
