I generally stay out of the predictions business. But here’s one I can make with 99 percent certainty: when the reign of our Lunatic Emperor is finally over, there’s going to be a lot of people —in our current government, in Trump’s media glee club, among Big Tech and Big Business bootlickers — who will conveniently contract amnesia, having no memory of all the atrocities they participated in, or enabled, or looked the other way for. And much as everyone said we should should Never Forget 9/11, we should Never Forget what’s being done to our country now, which has been a decade-long act of violence against everything it purportedly stood for. At least the foreign terrorists had the decency to blow themselves up. Our domestic terrorists will just blithely move on, pretending there was no terror to see here. I’m not suggesting they should be rounded up and put in camps — as they’re fine with their goon squads doing to others, now. But I am suggesting that anybody who exerts judgment this bad and for this long deserves to get reminded of their destructive choices until their dying day. And they have forfeited any right to lecture the rest of us on which way things should go. They’ve already failed their country once. They shouldn’t be allowed to do it again.
