A lot of people are down on CBS, for martyring Scott Pelley and jeopardizing the very future of 60 Minutes — still a great show, even though it’s older than me. But I have confidence in their master plan. And am betting that it’s all gonna work out in the end, when they inevitably hire Pelley’s accomplished replacement, Spencer Pratt. Who has never actually done journalism, but did read the paper once. And who Mr. Trump will surely approve of, and give much better access to. Look out, Miranda Devine! There’s about to be a new court stenographer in town! And isn’t that what Real Journalism is all about? Credulously repeating all the important things the President says?
