UPDATE: Some people did not listen. They put backpacks in the overheard bin. The gate agent made good on her promise. She got onto the plane, removed the backpacks, and returned them to the passengers who didn’t listen. Then she stowed the last few rolling bags. She closed by saying, “I told y’all. I’m not trying to be a drill sergeant. I’m actually a very nice person. But you gotta listen.”
