A “former senior handler” in Unit 504, the unit responsible for human intelligence (HUMINT, i.e. running agents) within the IDF’s Military Intelligence Directorate, has revealed previously unknown information about the assassination of Nasrallah on Israel’s public broadcaster.
I don’t know who his sources are and how accurate the information is but assuming this is indeed accurate, it provides significant additional context as to how the IDF was able to deceive Hizbullah and its (now former) leader.
In addition to what is said in the video, Saudi News channel Al-Hadath has reported that someone (likely working for Israeli intelligence) met with Nasrallah shortly before the attack and when he shook his hand, he rubbed a special substance which is invisible to the naked eye on his hand, which allowed Israel to track his whereabouts accurately.
Once Nasrallah arrived to the Hizbullah HQ with his entourage, the IDF high command waited for two minutes to get a final confirmation that Nasrallah was indeed there before ordering the F-15 fighter planes to engage and drop their one ton bombs on the location.
As a reminder: the IDF gave the operation to take out Nasrallah the codename: Operation New Order.
