Make money doing the work you believe in

Hmm - I’m not sure I appreciate Charli XCX just moving all subscribers to her Substack into the wider Warner Music Group CRM system, and in doing so assuming that I agree to the terms of their privacy policy, which is laid out here -

On one level, I do get it - there’s a need to consolidate fan info - but on another, it just feels like too big a leap to go from the more personal nature of Substack to this “thanks for joining Warner’s CRM” type of approach.

(Also, just sending this email out with “Notice of Privacy Policy” as the subject feels very blunt and heavy-handed. I assume that was a legal demand from Warner’s side. Either way, it lands poorly IMO.)
