It’s not the same on both sides. There is an inherent power imbalance in the patient-doctor relationship.

The patient is vulnerable. The doctor has an obligation to do no harm, a standard that is often not met.

Shaming people who disagree feels effective. It gets laughs, it signals you're on the "right" side, and it shuts things down fast.

It reads as confidence, but it's just noise.
