As I note in the annotated tracklisting to the Eavesdropping mix I posted yesterday, the final track is a real curveball: a cover of Autechre’s “Yulquen” by fingerstyle guitarist Shane Parish. You may recall his covers of Kraftwerk and Aphex Twin (along with Alice Coltrane and Charles Mingus) on last year’s Repertoire; today he announced AUTECHRE GUITAR, a full album’s worth of his acoustic covers of the totemic electronic duo, out February 27 on Bill Orcutt’s Palilalia label, and available for preorder now.
