Aside from whatever moral objection someone might have to using AI to write for you if you’re a writer WHAT IS THE ACTUAL POINT? Why be a creative if you’d rather not create? Aren’t we putting up with clients who take 3 months to pay and being paid far less than the tech/finance bros (who are destroying the world even though creatives are the ones who bring joy) because we love what we do?
This made me very very sad. This writer’s suggestion that nearly every writer is secretly using AI is (as a fellow WGA writer) patently untrue. This is an exercise in letting yourself off the hook. AI is a plagiarism machine, it destroys our environment and makes us stupider. I’m not holding out from some staunch sense of moral superiori…
