Lastly, EU Commission president von der Leyen says that Russia is not afraid of NATO, but of democracy. She says that Russia is fighting against the values that are Europe’s hallmark, and that she is glad that Europe is united.
Von der Leyen is demanding accountability for Russian war crimes, mentions the abduction from children from their families as evidence, (even though the report that was used to justify Putin’s ICC arrest warrant was questionable, see what I said about it here substack.com/profile/47…) Bizarrely, she talks about strongly supporting the “Ukrainian peace formula” and calls “on all of us to rally behind” it, for as long as it takes, etc. etc.
Didn’t I just hear Zelenskyy talk about more weapons and fighter jets?
