I generally ignore or dislike social media trends. But I felt compelled to do the “Mom, what were you like in the ‘90s?” one because the ‘90s—my twenties—were a pivotal decade. Also, I’m feeling nostalgic because my daughter just turned 28 and got engaged—the age I was when pregnant with her. In 1990, I graduated from UCSC at 21 and married my high school boyfriend. By 1999, I had a grad degree in journalism, had become a late-blooming athlete, and started a family. I loved the ‘90s! How about you, what were you like in the ‘90s?
