QUIET UNDOING

my body a slow, deliberate river

I want to share an image with you—an image that I think sheds light on how the pleasures the world offers pale in comparison to the knowledge of Jesus Christ. I was about eighteen, out on the town with friends in Adelaide. We’d spent the whole night partying—too much to drink, too much noise, chasing the kind of thrill we all assumed would make us happy. As dawn approached, we wandered through the quiet streets of the city, still laughing, still buzzing from the night.

That’s when I noticed it. …

Not in a good place mentally today. The fall out from the news yesterday along with some other issues. Praying for a level of peace I just do not have today.

With the faith of Christ in my heart. Here are the intentions for the day. Please keep these issues in prayer:

For my mom, Mary, and the various health issues. Wisdom of the doctors and for over all healing.

For Dar (Kat’s mom) on going knee issues. Healing so she can do what she needs to.

Healing for my anxiety and over all exhaustion.

Pope Francis survived Holy Week and the Paschal Triduum, dying on Easter Monday in the Easter Octave.

Pope Benedict XVI died on the eve of the octave day of Christmas, i.e., the eve of the Solemnity of Mary the Mother of God.

Pope St. John Paul II died on the eve of the octave day of Easter, i.e., the eve of Divine Mercy Sunday (which he himself declared a feast).

What are the odds?! Not only did all of the last three popes die in the two most important weeks of the Christian calendar, they all d…

I along with my wife, and seven others were confirmed into full communion with the Catholic Church at Easter Vigil on Saturday evening. It was a beautiful service full of celebration and joy. We all felt truly loved and welcomed.

It sounds cliche but I really feel like I have come home.

I’ve made it to Treviglio. Tomorrow I walk to Romano di Lombardia, then Thursday to Chiari, then Friday to Brescia where I’ll spend weekend.

If you’re around I’ll buy you a meal as long as you don’t hate me and aren’t too annoying.

So far biggest issue has been sun. Getting burned because I planned for rain and nope. No rain.

All right, I have a long newsletter for you this morning, weighing in on some recent debates among Democrats. It covers a lot of ground, and it’s one of those times when I’m going to play the Read-The-Whole-Thing-In-Context Card rather than give you a snappy summary.

I learned so much reading this. Also thank you for the bibliography/works cited.

While diagonal Scaling is an interesting infrastructure scaling, the use of load testing and the small team size were eye-opening

This allows me to delve deeper into some of mentioned concepts

thanks for the feedback
